Coral Mashan Jade mala with Czech glass markers

This Mashan Jade long mala has a total of 108 beads including the faceted Czech glass marker beads.  The glass head bead and discs are not counted in the 108 beads.  The marker beads are placed every 27th bead.

The mala is strung on flexible wire and finished with either an aqua or coral tassel made from 100% cotton, you choose the tassel shade below.  The Mashan Jade beads are sometimes called Mountain Jade and in Nepal and India are often sold as Mountain coral.  They are a solid orange/red colour with a fantastic polish.   The glass marker beads have small copper plated brass discs on either side of them to provide a contrast.

Mountain "jade" beads are high-grade dolomite marble from Asia dyed vivid, shining, very solid colours.

Czechoslovakian glass beads are very high quality and we especially use them with semi-precious beads as their crystal quality and finish is quite lovely. Czechoslovakia is renowned worldwide for its glass bead production.

The Jade beads are 8mm in size and the mala measures over the 108 beads approximately 89cm (35 inches). Laid flat and measured from top to toe, with the tassel and head beads, it is around 50cm (19.5”).
