Emerald green Malay Jade long mala with Czech glass beads

This is a lovely deep clear Emerald Green long mala – think of Green Tara or perhaps of Amoghasiddhi who is often portrayed as green or as emanating green light.

Mother of Pearl long mala with Tibetan Silver contrast

These Mother of Pearl beads are delicate shades of white and ivory. The mala is handmade with 108 6mm or 8mm beads including Tibetan-style silver-coloured metal marker beads every 27th bead plus a silver-coloured metal head bead and 100% cotton tassel. The mala is strung on high quality beading wire. Mother of Pearl is also known as nacre, which is the smooth calcium carbonate lining of iridescent lustre found in some shells.

These beautifully patterned Picture Jasper beads come in shades of soft creams, light and dark tans and darker brown. It is a type of Brown Jasper which, when cut in larger pieces,  appear as landscape patterns and other scenes, hence it’s name.

Rose Quartz long mala (8mm beads) with fire polished Czech glass marker beads

This lovely Rose Quartz long mala is a very soft clear rose pink, with excellent quality Czech glass marker beads. Rose quartz is the name used for pink varieties of the mineral quartz. These high-quality beads are softly shaded from translucent through to transparent.  Rose Quartz is an abundant mineral – these are natural undyed beads.

Tiger’s Eye long mala with Tiger Kamagong markers

 

This Tiger’s eye long mala, using 6mm beads,  has a total of 108 beads including the lovely Tiger Kamagong marker beads.  The head bead is not counted in the 108 beads.  The contrasting marker beads are placed every 27th bead and highlighted with small brass discs.

TIGER’S EYE (or tigereye)  is a quartz with rich shades of honey, yellow and brown with a very silky lustre, giving the beads a wonderful polish. These beads are a lovely quality with a fine polish.

TIGER KAMAGONG wood, also called Tiger Ebony, is from the Kamagong “Mabolo” fruit tree found only in the Philippines. Some beads are very dark, others come with rich, warm patterning.  The wood is dense and hard and belongs to the ebony family. It is an endangered tree species and protected by Philippine law – these beads comply with this law and are from a reputable supplier.

Turquoise/aqua howlite skull wrist mala

A wrist mala of turquoise/aqua howlite skull beads strung on strong, clear elastic. Howlite is a white stone with grey/black streaks that takes dye easily.  This bracelet is made in two sizes- small (5.75 to 6 inch) regular (7 inch). Sizes are approximate, measurement is unstretched. On average there are approximately 18 beads on the smaller size and 20 beads in total on the regular size.
